How to Make Potato Chips:
- Cut the potatoes as thinly as possible, ideally using a mandolin. The thinner you cut them, the faster the moisture will be removed, making them even crispier.
- Soak the potato slices in cold water for 20 minutes to remove excess starch and make them crispy.
- The potato chips must be completely dry. Pat them dry with kitchen paper towels to remove any excess moisture.
- Add salt and oregano or the seasoning of your choice before baking. Salt helps to remove moisture and makes them crispier.
How to Cook Homemade Potato Chips in Air Fryer:
Place the potato chips on the rack without touching each other, without parchment paper, silicone mold, or tray. To ensure even cooking, the air must circulate freely, and you should flip them every few minutes. Otherwise, the moisture won’t be removed, and they may resemble like boiled.

Cut potatoes into very thin slices, preferably using a mandolin.

Soak the potatoes in water for at least 20' to remove excess starch.

Drain them and pat them with paper towels until they are completely dry.

Sprinkle with olive oil, salt and oregano or the seasoning of your liking

Place the potato chips in the air fryer's basket and cook for 20' turning the chips every few minutes.

The chips will be ready once they have begin to turn golden brown on their edges. Depending on the model of your air fryer, if the chips are not ready cook for another 2'-4'.
