Air Fryer pork chops are incredibly crispy and juicy! How different can they be from those cooked in the oven? Very! In the air fryer, the meat develops a golden crust on the outside without losing its moisture inside, remaining juicy. Taste-wise, the result will remind you of pan-searing, with a similar flavor but without the unnecessary calories and fats. At the same time, the cooking time is drastically reduced, making everyday cooking much quicker and simpler!

Some tips for making the most delicious air fried pork chops:

To make the perfect air fryer pork chops, we marinate the meat before cooking, in the same way we would if we would cook it with classic cooking methods. After washing and drying the meat, we cover it with the marinade prepared with the ingredients mentioned in the following recipe card. To make the chops tender and allow the aromas and flavors to meld, we let the meat marinate for at least 1 hour. If you have the time, you can leave it overnight in a container in the refrigerator. However, you should take them out at least 20-30 minutes before cooking to bring them to room temperature.

For cooking pork chops in the air fryer, place the meat directly on the rack without parchment paper. This allows excess fats to drain from the meat while still allowing proper air circulation. If you’re cooking more than two chops, they should not be in contact with each other to achieve even cooking.

In the recipe below, we used medium-thick pork loin chops. However, depending on your air fryer model and the thickness of the chops, the cooking time may vary. Therefore, it’s essential to check your food at regular intervals. To ensure the desired result, you can use a kitchen thermometer and check the temperature of the meat at its thickest point, which should be above 65°C.

  1. Start by making the marinade. In a bowl mix together the garlic clove with the mustard, the vinegar, the olive oil and the thyme.

  2. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper and add cover them with the marinade. Place them in the bowl and let them marinade for at least one hour or overnight in the fridge.

  3. Preheat your air fryer to 180C and grill for approximately 9' depending on the thickness of the steaks.
